I loved this place because of the people it attracts-- The AT trail has an access point close by, and many thru-hikers frequent the campgrounds here. The AT hikers were friendly and so much fun to hang-out with at night. Sitting around the bonfire and listening to their stories was the best part of every night back at the motel. There's also a couple great restaurants close by. I highly recommend The Coplin House (the three course meal is stellar). My room here exceeded the needs of this budget friendly traveler, and they are clean, private and comfortable. The blackout curtains were unexpected and very much appreciated.

We love to camp and backpack, but we planned some pretty intense hikes and knew that we would love to sleep in a real bed and shower after long days on the trail. (I guess that's how you know you're getting old.) We did in fact love sleeping and showering here. The communal kitchen and lounge area is the real gem, I think. We enjoyed chatting with other guests while making coffee and breakfast, which really made the experience. Pots and pans are available, along with a stove, oven, microwave, and toaster. Can't beat that!

Caroline

Considering we were up there because of the quiet and scenic experience. The accommodations fit the the circumstances. Staff very hospitable, helpful and friendly.

Maahs

Great location and close to grocery stores The room had everything including a stocked kitchen. The beds were comfortable. The cabins are cute. Would recommend.

Cummings
